I am going to college after school and maybe find a job but I am not sure about my college major yet but I'm deciding either computer designing, dental assistance or Teacher to me those three option sound suitable for what I like to do in  the future, but I need to have more skills to reach my goal.

Possible careers:

#1 Multimedia Artists and Animators

What Multimedia Artists and Animators Do

Multimedia artists and animators create animation and visual effects for television, movies, video games, and other forms of media.

Work Environment

Multimedia artists and animators held about 68,900 jobs in 2012. In 2012, about 57 percent of workers were self-employed.

How to Become a Multimedia Artist or Animator

Most multimedia artists and animators need a bachelor’s degree in computer graphics, art, or a related field to develop a strong portfolio of work and learn the strong technical skills that many employers prefer.

Pay

The median annual wage for multimedia artists and animators was $61,370 in May 2012.

Job Outlook

Employment of multimedia artists and animators is projected to grow 6 percent from 2012 to 2022, slower than the average for all occupations. Projected growth will be due to increased demand for animation and visual effects in video games, movies, and television.

Similar Occupations

Compare the job duties, education, job growth, and pay of multimedia artists and animators with similar occupations.

#2 Dental Assistant

Geographic Location

Location affects the salaries of assistants the most because areas with greater demand, like major cities, usually pay higher than rural areas. In addition, more expensive locations usually pay higher to cover the higher cost of living.
Scope Duties
The specific job description of an assistant affects their salary, as employers balance the salary with their range of duties. A single assistant in a big office will generally earn more than one splitting duties with many others.
Training
The level of education affects the dental assistant income due to opportunity cost. Since well-trained assistants can find employment more easily, they’re likely to earn a higher salary to make their job more attractive.
Certification
Another factor that affects their income is certification. Employers generally pay certified individuals a higher salary because they’re normally in higher demand compared to those who aren’t certified.
#3  Teacher

Salary by Experience and Education

Experience often plays a big part in determining your salary. Generally, salaries tend to increase over time as you gain experience. In January 2014, PayScale.com provided the following breakdown of national salaries for K-12 teachers according to level of experience:
  • 0-1 year - $35,516
  • 1-4 years - $37,327
  • 5-9 years - $42,364
  • 10-19 years - $49,851
Your level of education might also determine your starting salary. According to several state education websites, those holding a master's degree tend to earn a higher starting salary than those holding only a bachelors' degree.

Salary by Location

Where you live and work can influence your salary. For example, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), opportunities for middle school teachers will be greater in the South and West, with job rates holding steady in the Midwest and declining in the Northeast. State Departments of Labor frequently provide occupational wage information, including starting salaries. For example, new teachers in Idaho (lmi.idaho.gov) earned the following entry-level pay rates in 2013:
  • Elementary school - $32,888
  • Middle school - $33,870
  • High school - $31,530
In the Northeast, New York teachers (www.labor.ny.gov) made higher starting salaries in 2013.
  • Elementary school - $46,110
  • Middle school - $49,720
  • High school - $50,000
Also in 2011, the Texas Workforce Commission (www.twc.state.tx.us) reported that beginning wages for K-12 teachers differed only minimally.
  • Elementary school - $41,167
  • Middle school - $41,552
  • High school - $41,203
Florida's Department of Economic Opportunity (www.floridajobs.org) estimated the starting pay for teachers based on its 2012 salary survey.
  • Elementary school - $37,649
  • Middle school - $38,888
  • High school - $39,692

Salary by Position

Generally, starting salaries are higher at the high school level than the elementary school level. According to a January 2014 report by PayScale.com, annual median salaries for various positions across the U.S. were as follows:
  • Elementary school teacher - $40,989
  • Middle school teacher - $42,738
  • High school teacher - $44,896

Employment Outlook and Other Factors

Current job prospects look promising at elementary and middle school levels. According to the BLS, employment for elementary, middle school and high school teachers is predicted to grow 13%, 12% and 6%, respectively, from 2012-2022. The 6% growth for high school teachers is slower than the national average for job growth across all jobs. The pay is highest in prestigious private schools. Public school systems pay better than parochial and other religious schools.
