Blog post:Option #1

I am very interested in pursing a career in the medical field. I specifically want to focus on nursing. I plan to major in nursing when I am in college. One job that is very common in the nursing field is a nurse practitioner. The average pay of a NP is $78,000 before taxes. The salary definitely differs between geographic location. For example, if you are working in a wealthy county like Marin you would be getting paid more than if you were living in a poorer county. To become a nurse practitioner you are required to have an RN license with a masters degree in nursing. Some Nurse Practitioners have a doctorate degree in nursing. Someone who is a nurse practitioner must have a lot of patience as well as good communication skills. The second common job in nursing is a Registered Nurse. The average pay of a registered nurse is about $65,470. This definitely varies between location. Top become a registered nurse you are required to have an associates degree in nursing. Some people go on to get their bachelors or even masters but that is not for everyone. A registered nurse must also be patient and have good communication skills. The third most common job is a Nurse Anesthetist. They are one of the highest paying nursing jobs at about a $135,000 yearly salary. The salary will differ between geographic location as well as a nurse practitioner and a registered nurse. The qualifications for becoming a nurse anesthetist are a RN license, experience in critical care, and the completion of a two year anesthesia education program. People who are in this field need too be good communicators, calm, and patient.
